I think we all want a clean house, we just don't want to have to clean it. Well, that's how I feel anyway. The problem is, I really don't like paying someone else to do something that I have the time and ability to do myself. So, over the years I have come up with a plan that works for me and I thought you might like it too. Rather than spend a whole day cleaning every week, I just clean for about 30 minutes a day and I can manage the whole house.
I have a chalkboard on my back door that has my weekly cleaning schedule. As you can see, it's not complicated. These are the main jobs I like to get done every week. My easiest day is Wednesday and that's the day I add an extra job that doesn't need to be done every week, but still needs to be done more than a couple times a year. Your easiest day might be different and that's fine. So what are these extra jobs? In the past month I've cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, washed the windows on the front of my house, dusted the ceiling fans, and straightened the garage. I usually do the cleaning in the morning after I've worked out and before I've cleaned up for the day. It's amazing what you can get done in less than an hour if you have a plan! Make out a schedule that works for you and your home, and just try it. I think you're going to be surprised by how much easier it is to keep your house clean.
