Mulch

It's that time of the year again. Spring is the perfect time to mulch all your beds. Not only does it make them look great, it's a great weed deterrent and moisture retainer. For the best results, you'll want a 3"-4" layer. There is no trick to spreading mulch, but there are a few things you'll want to be aware of before you start. It's very important not to pile mulch around the base of trees or shrubs because this can actually kill them. Bring the mulch right to the edge of the trunk, but stop before before it piles up. Also, make sure you don't pile mulch around the bottom of your fence or touching any wood on your house because that can attract termites. That's all you need to know! Now get busy...

As they say, a picture is worth 1000 words. Doesn't it look great?

I'll keep you posted...
